How lists fit into field work

Saved lists are the bridge between voter targeting and action.

A common flow is:

1. Build a voter universe in Create a List.
2. Save it with a descriptive name.
3. Open it later from My Lists.
4. Cut it into regions and turfs in My Turf.
5. Assign those turfs to canvassers or launch events.

Tips for list hygiene

• Archive or rename old lists when the targeting strategy changes.
• Include date, geography, and purpose in list names.
• Avoid using vague names like test, new list, or walk list for real campaign operations.
• If two lists serve different outreach channels, keep them separate even if they overlap.
